One could say, it is “mud in the blood”, from David’s grandfather, his father, to his three brothers, concrete is a passion the Kudron family all share.
David has worked in the construction industry since he was 18 years old. He began his concrete career working for a large highway construction company along side his father, Dan. He made every attempt while there to absorb all he could about concrete, mix designs, batching, as well as the mechanical side of concrete plants and trucks. He never gave up on his dream and his passion of one day establishing his own ready mix company.
In 1983, David married his high school sweetheart Julie. Julie attended college at SWOSU and later worked for a general contractor where she learned the management and daily operations of a construction company. In 1993 they combined their knowledge of business and construction to establish City Concrete Construction.
Owning a business at such a young age had its challenges. As David and Julie matured their company did as well. Thriving with the demanding market, City Concrete Construction began working with one of the largest multi-family housing developers in the region. Travel to the surrounding states was necessary and without a doubt challenging, but had its rewards. David gained additional knowledge and experience during this time. With ready mix in high demand it became difficult for City Concrete to remain on schedule. In 2003 it was decided to diversify. David and Julie purchased a portable concrete plant and 4 mixer trucks. By August 2004 their first yard of concrete was batched and Kudron Ready Mix was established. Within a year delivery was extended to the public due to the continuing demand.
In 2008, son Colt joined Kudron Ready Mix after graduating from the University of Oklahoma. Colt brings innovative ideas and a fresh approach on marketing strategies.
Kudron Ready Mix has grown operating 3 plants, 22 mixer trucks, 9 haul trucks and over 40 employees.
